You’ve probably seen recently if you have logged into one of your service providers, that they might want you to setup a passkey. It may feel confusing or irritating that they are doing this to you, but, trust us, this is your chance to get away from passwords, and is more secure, and simpler, if done correctly.
*** There is a concerted move away from passwords by all major providers, and we believe that eventually you won’t have a choice ***
You may already be using a passkey without even realising it. If you use a PIN, or your face, or a fingerprint to provide secondary authentication for a login, this is a form off a passkey, the next step is to remove the need for the password completely.
To be clear, passkeys can help protect against common threats like data breaches and phishing attacks, and if implemented correctly, passkeys can offer a simpler and more seamless login experience for end-users.
When implementing your passkeys, read the instructions carefully and it should be a piece of cake, and of course if you do run into any difficulties don’t hesitate to call us for assistance.
